Paris has budget hotels in every section of the city, so when you plan your dream vacation to The City of Light, you won’t miss a thing. There is so much to see and do in Paris that you don’t want to spend all of your time traveling. You can select a budget hotel that is near the Louvre, the Latin Quarter, or Montmartre depending on your idea of a great time. When you learn more about staying in Paris, you’ll be able to select the right hotel.

Select Your Arrondissement

Paris has 20 arrondissements that surround the city center and each has its attractions as well as good transportation to the city center. The 14th arrondissement is a quiet area that is perfect for relaxing after a long day of sightseeing. The 8th arrondissement has glitz and glamour with plenty going on after dark. Once you select your area, you can look for hotels or hostels that fit your travel budget.

A Good Central Location

The Latin Quarter is comprised of the 5th and 6th arrondissements and most of the important sights are within walking distance. The Sorbonne is in this area as well as many students and tourists, but the buildings are ancient, so no matter where you stay, you’ll want to spend a day in the Latin Quarter. It’s also an excellent shopping area and has a wide variety of restaurants and cafes. You’ll see the Luxembourg Gardens, the Musee de Cluny and the Pantheon.

The Art Experience

The Louvre is where you’ll see hundreds of great statues and paintings from the past and present, but if you want to experience the famous Parisian artist’s colony, you can find a cheap hotel in Montmartre. Home of the famous Moulin Rouge, Montmartre is a hill in the 18th arrondissement. It is a charming place with narrow, winding streets and art galleries on every corner. Since it is on the edge of the city, the hotels are a bit cheaper, and it’s famous for its nightclubs. One thing you can’t get anywhere else is the spectacular view of the city. The main sight is the Basilica of Sacre-Coeur and the starving artists on the sidewalks drawing tourists.

The Famous Paris Hostels

There is a wide variety of hostels in Paris, and they are not all alike. You want a clean hostel that has a good reputation. However, this is the place to stay for saving money. There are dorms and private rooms available. Some hostels have private rooms with a sink and shower with the toilet shared on each floor. People, from all over the world, stay in Paris hostels, which is why hostels are a good place to make new friends.

Vacation Rentals

There are some significant advantages to vacation rentals, especially for families and small groups. The prices vary, but each has a fully equipped kitchen, so you can save a lot by cooking some meals at home. With two or three bedrooms, there’s plenty of room for everyone and most have amenities such as TVs, DVD players and Internet connections.

Paris is a city that welcomes everyone, and offers a wide variety of accommodations to suit each traveler’s budget. You trip may be more rewarding if you select an arrondissement before searching for a budget hotel.
